Root Canals (Endodontics)

Endodontics involves the field of dentistry that allows for the treatment of teeth when its nerve has been infected due to deep decay, trauma, or degeneration from large or deep fillings.

The procedure consists of cleaning and disinfection of the canal, which housed the tooth’s nerve. Consequently, this space is filled with a sterile, rubbery material. Bacteria are prevented from reentering the tooth from the root all the way to the crown. This procedure is done painlessly and gently; as a matter of fact, it is not rare to find a patient falling asleep throughout the treatment!
